"Move to the Right"

On Memorial Day weekend we went for our first hike of the season. We went to the ever so popular Rattlesnake Ledge. We've never seen such a crowded hike. In some places it was a single file line heading up the mountain 20+ people long. We were constantly telling Khalila to "move to the right" to let people go by her. We of course were walking at a slower pace the average hiker. Khalila hiked the entire thing herself. That's 2 miles up and 2 miles down. Isabel even got a little hiking in as well. The view up at the top was gorgeous. As you can see we were not alone. Here's Jabran and Isabel showing off the view. Khalila wanted to go a little further out so Jabran took her out a little ways. I didn't used to be leary of heights but I have grown into it. I was not real comfortable up there on the steep rock ledge with all those people. And unfortunately the following weekend a person fell from the ledge and died, so it is very dangerous up there. After having our lunch we headed back down. Isabel finally took her nap. As we made the one and half hour trip back down. There was a big boulder we walked by. Well, I guess we didn't just walk by it as you can see in the picture. When we made it back down we headed to the lake. This is the view of the ledge from the lakeshore.
